LOCAL COUNCILS
Brixton Parish Council
Normally meets last Wednesday in the month in Brixton Community Centre. All Sherford residents are welcome to attend whether or not resident in the Parish area (ie pay South Hams Council Tax). Those living in the South Hams are eligible to apply at elections to be Councillors. The PC leads on helping Sherford develop its own Town Council. Posts information about planning applications, roads etc on the Brixton Parish Council noticeboard.Devon County Council
Manages roads and highways in Devon. Deals with health and social care provision, libraries, education and many other services. Roads in Sherford are managed by the developers for the first two years before Devon County Council adopts them.Plymouth City Council
